10 things I'm grateful for (#3)

| Monday, 27 April 2015

First things first, how cute is this notepad? Seriously. I find so much joy in cute little things. Yes, that is one of the things I'm grateful for this month; cute little things.

I'm a bit late doing for this post but they say better late than never! So... here are my 10 things for the month of March.

1. CUTE LITTLE THINGS

Totally random I know, but when I see cute little things it just warms my heart.

2. MEXICO

As you all know, we recently went to Mexico on vacation. I'm super thankful for all the amazing experiences that come with being married to a Mexican. They are truly a loving and caring people, and being able to spend some quality time in a colorful, lively and warm country like that is just so fun!

3. EXTENDED FAMILY

Seriously though. I am so thankful about my family in-law. It's so nice to have good people in your life, people that want to be around you, and more importantly, that love being with your children. There is no warmer feeling in my heart than to see my kids' eyes light up when they see their grand-parents and aunts/uncles.

4. BLOGGING

I have learned so much about myself through blogging. Things I sort of already knew, but never had the chance to explore; my creativity, my problem solving skills, photography... the list goes on and on. I'm super thankful for having the opportunity to share content I'm passionate about.

5. HAVING A BIG YARD

I always dreamed of having a big yard. Granted, big is pretty subjective, but I think ours is a reasonable size. It's awesome for having summer parties and playing badminton. It's also big enough to have a pool, a play structure for the kids, and a garden... amongst other things. I know these are all things, but it's the moments and memories we create with them that matter most to me.

6. FRESH FLOWERS

Every time I see fresh flowers in a home, it makes me feel peaceful. I just love having a little punch of color and a bit of nature in my home. Do you?

7. FAMILY REUNIONS

I've been taking it upon myself to organize family reunions, and although it can be quite stressful as the host, I do not regret any of those moments. I just love to be surrounded by all my loved ones.

8. PAJAMA DAYS

I've been having a lot of those lately. Being on maternity leave, I have been taking every opportunity possible to stay in my pajamas.

9. NUTELLA

I can eat a whole jar in one sitting. Did I just say that out loud? Whoops.

10. THE SUN

It's about time he showed up around these parts. I do my best to enjoy every season to the max, but summer is definitely one of my favorite, because it includes the sun.

What are some things you're grateful for this month?

  2. I know right? I think you went recently no? And thanks. Lol. I was hoping to inspire others to look at the good side of things, but I don't think a lot of people care for these articles. Still sharing though, I made it a point to myself to try and stay as positive as possible this year and posting my thoughts helps me actually THINK IT. xD

  3. THAT NOTEPAD. So adorable! So kawaii ;)

It`s funny because I was -just- thinking about how grateful I am to have a yard. And my yard is tiny (seriously, it`s like 7ft from my backdoor to my back wall. It`s long and awkward) (okay so B and I just debated about how many feet it actually is, so I measured it. It`s actually 10ft lol!) but it`s a great space to sit around the firepit and hang out and bbq and for Isa to sit and read and for Hot Pie to run around in. Which is a big deal because generally the houses over here don`t have yards at all!

Also I like being lazy and not having to leash & walk the dog every time he has to potty. Ha!

  5. A yard is so useful, no matter how big. Besides, it's the memories that count! You actually went out and measured? Lol. Now I'm curious about ours, I've never measured it.

  6. I'm sure you will soon enough. :) There's still parks right? Plenty of green space there! ...and it's a lot cheaper too!! I'm so silly, I just read Nutella in your comment and right away I want to eat a jar. -sigh-
